Sushi!
Thanks to Anna and Erin, I have now experienced sushi! It's true, I'd never tried the stuff before. But after the gals started bringing it regularly on Friday nights, curiosity got the best of me and the three of us (plus L, who abhors fishy foods) decided we needed to go out and expose me to this unusual food.
We finally arranged the "sushi experience" for last Saturday, hitting a little Japanese restaurant downtown. After soliciting Anna's advice, I placed an order for California Rolls (crab and avocado) and for Dynamite (eel, tuna and hot pepper). I fumbled my way through using chopsticks (I don't have that particular utensil proficiency... yet) and decided that, well, sushi was... interesting. (Yes, I'm stealing your word, Jay.)
It was such a different experience (cold fish and all) for me, that my taste buds and my stomach didn't quite know what to make of it. I honestly couldn't say if I liked it or not, though I definitely enjoyed the experience! I think I will have to sample some more sushi before I'll finally be able to decide whether or not it is for me.
That's where all you sushi connoisseurs come in! What's your favorite type of sushi and what would you recommend to a sushi n00b like myself? I'm all about giving sushi a fair try before making my final judgment and I'd definitely appreciate any advice you have to offer!

Glad you're open to trying new things, though you mean to tell me that in your three years at ACI you never once tried the sushi in Simplot? (Don't worry neither did I, at least not after my one sushi experience in downtown Boise)
Speaking of which, which of the several sushi joints did you hit up?
